There's Always Something New It's the middle of a Tuesday afternoon and Wilbert's, Inc. (formerly Wilbert's Buick & GM Parts) just outside of Rochester, NY, is buzzing. An array of customers-a couple of young, well-dressed women, a hip-hop younger man, and two or three guys in coveralls-are buying parts and asking questions. The counter people are busy selling, talking shop. Out behind the showroom and counter area, all manner of things are happening, too. Parts are being loaded, wheels refinished, tires balanced, cars dismantled, crushed, or moved. The atmosphere is relaxed, but anyone can see there's a lot of business going on. Art Wilbert, who started the whole affair 45 years ago, has just finished with someone on the phone. He's already bought $12,000 worth of salvage earlier in the day. Wilbert and his three sons-Pete, Ron, and Rick-can't talk for very long without being paged over the loudspeaker. Art loves it. "If you want something done," he says, "ask a busy person." That's one of his mottos. "We get things done around here." Art likes mottos. He's got a couple of them. To him and his sons they are more than just words. That much is evident just in walking around the facility and through the buildings.
